Emily Cooper, MD
Emily Cooper, MD, joined Sand Point Internists September 1, 2008. She received her undergraduate degree from Northwestern University in 1997 and Doctor of Medicine degree in 2001 from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. She completed residency in Internal Medicine at Virginia Mason Medical Center, Seattle, in 2004. After her husband completed his own surgical training, Dr. Cooper and her family returned to Seattle from Indianapolis, Indiana.

Frank Mitchell, MD
Frank Mitchell, MD, is a board certified specialist in Internal Medicine and earned his medical degree from the University of Florida, College of Medicine in 1969. He completed residencies in Internal Medicine at the University of Kentucky and the University of Washington, Schools of Medicine in 1971 and 1974, respectively. From 1974 to 1975, Dr. Mitchell served as a Senior Fellow for Ambulatory Medicine at the UW School of Medicine. He has been a Northwest Hospital staff physician since 1977.

Joan Olson, MD
Joan Olson, MD, graduated from Barnard College, Columbia University in New York City, received her Doctor of Medicine degree at State University of New York Health Science Center in Syracuse, and completed residency in Internal Medicine at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle. She joined Sand Point Internists in 1997. Dr. Olson’s practice emphasizes her special interest in preventative care and evidence-based medicine. She practices at our Northcut Landing office.

Sarah Pohlmann, MD
Sarah Pohlmann, MD, received her undergraduate degree from Princeton University, and her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Washington, Seattle, where she also completed an Internal Medicine residency. She joined Sand Point Internists in 2004. Away from the clinic, Dr. Pohlmann enjoys time spent with her husband and two sons. Her practice is at Northcut Landing.

Donna Richman, MD
Donna Richman, MD, received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Yale University School of Medicine and completed Internal Medicine residency at Boston City Hospital. Dr. Richman enjoys all aspects of primary care, from handling both acute and chronic health problems to disease prevention. A native of Boston, she and her family are enjoying hiking, biking and skiing in the Pacific Northwest, but they will always be Red Sox fans. She joined Sand Point Internists in 2008 and is located at the Northwest Hospital Outpatient Medical Center.

Gurinder Sahi, MD
Gurinder Sahi, MD, earned his Doctor of Medicine degree at Government Medical College, Amritsar, India. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Miami Valley Hospital and Veterans Administration Hospital, affiliates of Wright State University, Dayton, Ohio. Dr. Sahi joined Sand Point Internists in 1994. When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Sahi enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons. He practices at the Northwest Hospital Outpatient Medical Center.

Anita Uppal, MD
Anita Uppal, MD, earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Dayanand Medical College in Ludhiana, Punjab, India, and completed residency in internal medicine at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI. She enjoys all aspects of her outpatient internal medicine practice, including disease prevention and treatment of various conditions. She joined Sand Point Internists in May 2007 and practices out of our Northcut Landing office. Dr. Uppal has lived in the Northwest since 199. She enjoys spending time with her family in the outdoors including skiing and biking.
